An Apple a Day
As my Nan likes to say, “it takes all types to make a world”. This is precisely why an individualized approach to Nutrition is required. While the “eat an apple a day keep the doctor away” expression is a great place to start, the fact remains that we are complex creatures with deeply ingrained habitual behaviours and varying needs when it comes to our nutritional requirements. The truth is that no-one quite has it all worked out, but by moving away from blanket nutritional advice designed to address the needs of the masses, the closer we can move toward supporting individuals to achieving their optimum health.
